Teen Voices of Democracy is a collection of articles written by high school students about social and political issues that affect them and their families.

Version 1.4 features a "Front Page Articles" category that displays headlines and summaries of the most recent articles Teen Voices received directly from teens and/or found on the Internet.

The front page also includes a "Featured Issues" category that includes "hot topics" such as bullying, health care, the environment, the economy, tolerance, the war on terror and immigration. The Featured Issues selection also includes teen-related articles published recently in the professional media. Those articles are offered as a way to provide student writers ideas about articles they may wish to write.

Four general themes are included below those two categories. They are: Social Issues, Political Issues, Democracy & Patriotism, and Voting and Elections.

The U.S. Network tab bar at the bottom of the front page contains list of states and U.S. territories. When a state or territory is selected, an archive of articles written by students from that state will be retrieved from the Teen Voices database. The articles date back to the start of Teen Voices in 2009,

In the toolbar at the bottom of the page, readers also can read about Teen Voices of Democracy, retrieve various journalistic tools helpful to writers and then submit articles or videos to Teen Voices.

Teen Voices of Democracy is sponsored by the Institute for Democratic Education, a non-profit organization based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We are closely aligned with the National Student/Parent Mock Election and we have been endorsed by several national journalism organizations.
